The practical project “Testing varieties of desert forage plants on the drained bottom of the Aral Sea and organizing primary seed production of promising species and varieties” of IICAS worth 969.42 million sums won the 63rd round of the competition and received funding from the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and implementation has begun jointly with ” Scientific Research Institute of Karakul Breeding and Desert Ecology.
- The main goal is to test desert nutritious plant varieties in the conditions of the dry bottom of the Aral Sea and organize the primary sowing of promising species.
The project won the 63rd competition, was funded by the Ministry of Innovative Development and is being implemented jointly with the Uzbek Research Institute of Karakul Breeding and Desert Ecology.

- It has been established that the seeds of desert nutrient plants are suitable for planting.
- Qualitative indicators of seeds were determined in the field
- Phenological observations of planted halophytic plants were carried out.
- On the drained bottom of the Aral Sea, 300 kg of black saxaul “Nortuya”, “Dzhaihun” flint, Circassian varieties “Barak”, 100 kg of the variety “Yagona” were planted.
