At the end of November, large-scale environmental actions were held on the dried bed of the Aral Sea as part of the “My Garden in the Aral Sea” project, implemented by the International Innovation Center of the Aral Sea basin under the National Committee for Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan. These initiatives were carried out with the financial and practical support of Siberian Wellness and Nestlé, which continue to make a significant contribution to restoring the region’s ecological balance.
During the event, the planting of 26,000 saxaul seedlings was launched. Thanks to Nestlé’s support, 11,000 seedlings were planted on the dried bed of the Aral Sea, and the Siberian Wellness team supported the planting of an additional 15,000 seedlings through the International Innovation Center of the Aral Sea Region. Thus, the green space on the dried Aral Seabed has been expanded by another 26 hectares. The partners’ active participation not only accelerates the greening of the region but also demonstrates a responsible business approach to environmental conservation and the future of the Aral Sea region.
The collaboration between the Aral Sea International Innovation Center, Siberian Wellness, and Nestlé is becoming an important element of the long-term strategy for restoring the unique ecosystem of the Aral Sea region. Large-scale saxaul plantings reduce the intensity of dust storms, help stabilize sandy soils, and form the basis for future green spaces, improving the microclimate and quality of life for the region’s residents.
