The autumn stage of the national project “Yashil Makon” (“Green Space”), initiated by the head of state, is being actively implemented throughout the republic. This project has become a vivid example of creation, improvement and care for the environment, reflecting the values of our ancestors, for whom care for the future generation and the environment has always occupied an important place.
Particular attention is paid to the involvement of all sectors of society and organizations in the greening of the country. The team of the International Innovation Center of the Aral Sea region makes a significant contribution to the implementation of the project, actively participating in planting trees adapted to the harsh conditions of the region.
As part of one of the recent initiatives, more than 1.5 thousand unique decorative, drought- and salt-resistant trees were planted, which once again emphasizes the scale and significance of the project.
For reference: On March 7, 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan approved Resolution No. 144 aimed at expanding the Yashil Makon project within the framework of the Uzbekistan 2030 strategy. On October 21, a videoconference meeting was held under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to discuss the current results and plans for further implementation of the project. Next year, 100 billion soums will be allocated to continue the work, and the investment program includes expenses for 3-year tree care, protection from diseases and irrigation.
The Yashil Makon project continues to unite the efforts of citizens and organizations aimed at solving environmental problems, improving the environment and creating favorable conditions for future generations.
