Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Uzbekistan Mr. Manfred Huterer visited Karakalpakstan as part of a program aimed at developing bilateral cooperation and familiarizing himself with the region’s potential. During the visit, meetings were held with representatives of leading enterprises and organizations participating in joint projects with German companies.
One of the key meetings was a meeting with the Director of the International Innovation Center of the Aral Sea Region B.S. Khabibullaev, at which the Ambassador got acquainted with the activities of the center and its projects. Among the center’s projects, special attention was paid to environmental initiatives and efforts to restore the region’s ecosystem.
In the afternoon, the delegation went to the Muynak district, where Mr. Huterer, accompanied by B.S. Khabibullaev, visited significant projects implemented within the framework of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany. The guests also visited the Kanlykul district and got acquainted with the activities of a large textile enterprise, Kantex Invest, created with the participation of foreign investment.
During his visit to Muynak, German Ambassador Manfred Huterer made his personal contribution to the greening of the region by taking part in an environmental initiative at the Muynak research and production site. In support of efforts to restore the nature of the Aral Sea region, the Ambassador symbolically planted tree seedlings. This gesture underlines Germany’s commitment to helping solve the region’s environmental problems and helps strengthen cooperation in environmental protection and sustainable development.
The highlight of the visit was a visit to Muynak, where the Ambassador met with the district khokim B.B. Menglibekov and got acquainted with the projects in Muynak, as well as with cultural and historical attractions such as the Aral Sea Museum and the famous “Ship Cemetery”.
This visit opened up new prospects for the continuation and expansion of bilateral projects between Germany and Uzbekistan aimed at the sustainable development of the region.
