Today, a key event was held at the International Innovation Center of the Aral Sea region within the framework of the project “Development of sustainable agricultural production systems in underdeveloped regions of the Republic of Karakalpakstan”. The workshop on aquaculture brought together leading international experts and representatives from the International Center for Salinity Biofarming (UAE).
During the meeting, participants raised important aspects of increasing the efficiency of agricultural land use, emphasizing the importance of introducing innovative approaches in this area. Current issues related to the development of aquaculture were also discussed. Experts expressed particular interest in the prospects for breeding fish and brine shrimp, and also discussed the possibilities of growing spirulina (algae) in open artificial reservoirs, since due to the deteriorating environmental situation, natural growth areas are becoming increasingly limited.
Particular attention was paid to plans for further cooperation with local institutions actively involved in aquaculture activities. Strategies for joint efforts to successfully implement the project and achieve its common goals were discussed.
“This meeting was an important moment for the formation of strategic decisions aimed at the development of aquaculture within the framework of our joint project. We are convinced that the joint efforts and experience of international experts will make our agriculture more sustainable and efficient,” emphasized the director of the International Innovation Center of the Aral Sea region B. Khabibullaev.
The meeting ended with a successful agreement to continue cooperation and introduce innovations in the field of aquaculture. This step is important progress in achieving the project’s goals and strengthening the position of international cooperation in agriculture.
