Today, under the guidance of Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, the event opened and will continue from October 16th to 20th. Its goal is to promote creative education and innovation as the basis for the development of the New Uzbekistan. The Minister noted that this year the Week is taking place simultaneously throughout the country, and Uzbekistan has ranked 84th in the Global Innovation Index. He expressed confidence that through collaboration with international partners, the country will achieve even higher rankings in this index. The Minister emphasized that Uzbekistan’s economy will continue to develop using science and technology. Throughout the week, events will be held at over 60 venues with the participation of more than 450 partners.
Representatives of the International Innovation Center of the Aral Sea Region participated in the event with their own innovative and startup projects aimed at the development of the Aral Sea region.
“InnoWeek-2023” promises to be a week filled with masterclasses, exhibitions, seminars, agreements with foreign partners, and discussions on innovative ideas and their role in shaping the future of Uzbekistan. It is an opportunity for the country to demonstrate its commitment to progress and collaboration on the global stage.
The opening ceremony was also attended by the Secretary-General of the Turkic Council, Kubanychbek Omuraliev, the Chairman of the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ulvi Ramiz oglu Mehtiyev, the Deputy Governor of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province in Korea, Lee Dal Hwi, the Mohammed Bin Rashid State Innovation Center from the UAE, and others.
