International Innovation Center is 3 years old

On the basis of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 16, 2018 No.PP-3975, the “International Innovation Center of the Aral Sea region under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Today the International Innovation Center of the Aral Sea region is 3 years old. It should be noted that over the past short period of time, this structure has turned into a reliable international center that has built trusting relationships with foreign and local partners in improving the ecosystem in the Aral Sea region. At the beginning of its activities, on the basis of a crowdfunding platform, the center developed a project in the field of agroecotourism “My garden in the Aral Sea”, the implementation of which was approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 12, 2020 No. PP-4597. The main goal of the project is to induce a sense of involvement among foreign tourists and local residents in the problem of the Aral Sea, to eliminate its consequences, to contribute to the greening of the Aral Sea and thereby improve the living standards of the population. Taking this opportunity, we invite everyone to take part in the project. We will be very grateful if compatriots are interested in financial support for this initiative and find an opportunity to disseminate information about the “My Garden in the Aral Sea” project to attract new, potential partners for joint work. Each donation will have a positive impact on the ecological state and prosperity of the region, improving the health of millions of people in the Aral Sea region. At the moment, together with the Swiss non-profit association “LATMA-ADED”, it is planned to implement a project in 2021 for the construction of a water desalination station for secondary school No. 7 for 250 students in the Muynak region. The financing of the project has been resolved, and the start of the project is scheduled for September this year. This year, in cooperation with UNICEF, Uzbekistan launched the ImkonLab (UPSHIFT) program to develop skills for social innovation and social entrepreneurship. As a result of this program, young people from Muynak, Bozatau, Kungrad and Nukus districts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan will be assisted in acquiring new professional skills and abilities in the development of start-up projects. Through the program, UNICEF funds the best small start-up projects developed by young people. The environmental situation in the Aral Sea regions is gaining close attention of the entire world community, also at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in 2022 in the Aral Sea zone, namely in the city of Nukus, in cooperation with the UN, they intend to hold a high-level international forum on “green” energy. For 3 years, the employees of the IICP have done a lot of effective work, in this regard, we cordially congratulate all the employees of the IICP on the 3rd anniversary of the organizations. We sincerely wish you great success in overcoming the consequences of the drying up of the Aral Sea and the ecological improvement of the Aral Sea basin.
