On July 1 of this year, a scientific expedition was conducted to the area of Akbetkey of the drained bottom of the Aral sea. The expedition was attended by the Director of the MIZP N. Myrzamuratov, Deputy Director M. Ganiev, heads of departments R.Ismetullaev, A. Salikhov, A. Asamatdinov and R. Babazhanov Director of the Karakalpak branch of the Tashkent Botanical garden “Botany” at the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.
During the field trip, the site was inspected for the organization and creation of the experimental station “Akbetkey” for conducting various scientific experiments on forest reclamation and agrotechnological measures for growing medicinal and forage plants on the dried bottom of the Aral sea. The issues of the location of experimental sites and the base for housing and laboratories were discussed.
During the scientific expedition, soil samples were selected for analysis, and methods of conducting various activities to create experimental experiments were proposed by R. Babazhanov, water-irrigation activities by A. Salikhov, as well as innovative approaches to project implementation by A. Asamatdinov.
