The Goethe-Institut is a cultural institution of the Federal Republic of Germany with branches in many countries around the world.
The activities of the Goethe Institute are aimed at promoting the German language abroad and expanding international cooperation in the field of culture. The Goethe-Institut provides up-to-date information about the cultural, social and political life of Germany, thus forming an objective view of it around the world. The Goethe Institute’s cultural and educational programs support intercultural dialogue and promote cultural exchange. They contribute to the development of civil society and international mobility.
For 60 years, along with the Goethe-Institut offices abroad, there has been a network of cultural centers, societies, reading rooms, as well as examination and language centers that introduce people to Germany for the first time.
One of the most important goals of the Goethe-Institut Tashkent is to support international cultural cooperation. In accordance with this, the Department of Cultural programs of the Goethe Institute Tashkent conducts a wide range of events in cooperation with Uzbek partners and organizes Uzbek-German cultural exchange through conferences, reports and seminars, concerts and master classes mainly on modern music, exhibitions and seminars in the field of modern art, photography, design and architecture, demonstrations of modern films, dance and theater productions.
In addition to the above, the Goethe Institute is actively involved in charitable activities. Recently, in order to support the project and thereby contribute to improving the living standards of the population of the Aral sea, the Institute allocated charitable funds to support the project “My garden in the Aral sea”, implemented by The international innovation center of the Aral sea region under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It should be noted that the allocated funds helped to promote the project on landscaping of the Aral sea region and popularization of the project.
On behalf of all residents of the Aral sea region, we Express our gratitude to the Goethe Institute in Uzbekistan for its good deeds. Taking advantage of this moment, we invite everyone to take part in the project. Additional information for those interested in participating in the project is available on the website www.aralforest.org.
