On May 25, 2019, a meeting with representatives of OYO Corporation (Japan) Kazuhiro Azami and Sunao Ooyashi, management and specialists of the Center was held at the office of the International Innovation Center of the Aral Sea region under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The main purpose of this meeting is the signing of a memorandum on the development of the Aral region, scientific research and joint cooperation on the cultivation of desert seedlings with a closed root system.
Under the terms of this memorandum, OYO Corporation implements measures to introduce new, advanced manufacturing technology of incubator units for growing various types of sandy rocks from local raw materials, thereby contributing to the prevention of desertification of the dried bottom of the Aral Sea.
The trilateral memorandum was signed by the International Innovation Center of the Aral Sea Region, the OYO Corporation and the Research Institute of Forestry of the Republic of Uzbekistan. All parties agreed to abide by the principles of friendly cooperation, search for practical results, exchange of research results and joint development, and promote cooperation, such as scientific and technological research, application and exchange of information.
